Who we are

SHARP is a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) comprised of St. Bernards Medical Center, other regional and tertiary facility providers, and approximately 300 affiliated physicians. SHARP was formed in November of 1993 after several months of planning by physician and hospital representatives who developed the approach, structure, and basic operating characteristics of this organization. SHARP’s goal is to provide the communities we serve with high quality, cost effective healthcare. We do this by linking together physicians, hospitals, and industries in beneficial healthcare provider contracts with area insurers and self-insured employers.
